Product

Catalog Size

Although catalog size or shape is fixed based on business type, but in some cases catalog size is fixed according to customers carrying, storage and review facilities. It may be categorized in different classes according to paper thickness and size. For example- in case of 100-200 GSM art paper, width is 7”-8.5” and height is 10”-11” and in case of 200+ to 300 GSM art card, width is 9”-10” and 6”-7” height. Besides in case of flyer, the height is fixed but width is comparatively reduced.
Printing machine
An excellent work is greatly dependent on printing machine. The printing quality may be decreased due to inappropriate adjustment of printing machine. For example- old machine, irregular changing of blanket, ink quality, lack of appropriate adjustment based on paper thickness, inappropriate amount use of right dumping materials such as water, alcohol may be the main causes of catalog printing quality deterioration.
Graphic design
In spite of maintaining the steps mentioned above, the quality of a catalog depends mostly on graphic design. Proper color adjustment, size, retouching, color correction, brightness, contrast, exposure correction of different products or images used in catalog and over all page design, color combination, proper selection of type settings, font size are necessary to make a quality catalog.
Catalog cover page
To attract customers, the design of catalog cover page is very much important. No matter how much catalog’s inner page is arranged and attractive is, it is useless if the cover page of catalog is not beautiful. So during the production of a catalog, the design must be created based on business types.
Color
Generally, four color printing is done for all types of professional catalog design. Such as CMYK(Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black). But in some cases, extra color print is done to increase catalog quality more. It is termed as “spot color” which is specially used on catalog cover page. For example- Extra red, green, blue, yellow etc.
Lamination
Glossy lamination is created to protect catalog cover page and inner page, to make them waterproof and also to increase glaze and shine. Mate lamination is used to decrease shiny expression.
Types of catalogs
There are 2 types of catalogs- print copy and soft copy. Print copy is used as hard copy and soft copy is used directly and digitally. Such as- websites, e-commerce sites, digital media, social media, online advertising are the main clients of our catalog design service etc.
